Which devices are compatible with PowerBug?
PowerBug is a 2-in-1 wall charger with a Qi2 wireless charging pad and a USB-C PD port. The Qi2 pad wirelessly charges any Qi2-compatible phone, including iPhone 15 and later. The USB-C port fast-charges iPhones, iPads, AirPods, Apple Watch (with a USB-C cable), MacBook Air, and most USB-C devices.
How fast does PowerBug charge?
The Qi2 pad delivers up to 15W of wireless charging. The USB-C port dynamically allocates power up to 35W total — so if you're only using USB-C, you get the full 35W. If you're using both the wireless pad and USB-C at the same time, the USB-C port delivers up to 20W while the pad charges at 15W.
Do I need a MagSafe case, or will any Qi2 phone work?
Any Qi2-certified phone will snap on and charge at full 15W speed — no special case required. The magnetic alignment is built into Qi2, so your phone locks into place automatically and can be rotated to any angle for comfortable viewing while it charges.
Can I use my phone while it's charging on the pad?
Yes. The 360° rotation lets you dock your phone in portrait or landscape at any angle, making it easy to watch videos, take calls, or follow a recipe while you top up.
Will PowerBug work when I travel?
PowerBug is sold in region-specific versions with fixed plugs for US (Type A), UK (Type G), and EU (Type C). The US version features stowable prongs that fold flat for easy packing. For international travel outside your home region, you'll need a plug adapter.
Is it safe to leave plugged in overnight?
Yes. PowerBug is Qi2 certified and USB-IF certified, with built-in thermal management that allows continuous 15W wireless charging without overheating. It also includes standard safety protections against over-current and short circuits.
Does PowerBug block the second outlet?
No, PowerBug is designed so that when plugged into the bottom outlet of a standard wall receptacle, there's still room to use a three-prong plug in the top outlet.
